The Differences Between Google Partners and Google Premier Partners
Google Partners receive a Google Partner badge and work closely with Google while forming a strategic partnership. There are specific requirements to meet before earning this designation:
Reaching and maintaining an optimization score of at least 70% on the agency’s Google Partners manager account.
Maintaining at least a $10,000 spend (per 90 days) across all managed accounts.
Getting at least 50% of account strategists certified in Google Ads products and solutions.
Google Premier Partners are set apart from Google Partners because they make up the companies in the top 3% of participating partners per calendar year. This is an exclusive tier that has its own specific requirements:
Reaching and maintaining an optimization score of at least 70% on the agency’s Google Partners manager account.
Maintaining at least a $10,000 spend (per 90 days) across all managed accounts.
Getting at least 50% of account strategists certified in Google Ads products and solutions.
Measuring year-over-year ad spend growth among Google Ad clients.
Acquiring new clients and showing year-over-year ad spend growth.
Demonstrating investments in diverse products beyond Search, which is measured as the percentage of non-Search spend in Shopping, Apps, YouTube, Display & Video 360.
Annual ad spend measurements in Google Ads and/or Google Marketing Platform.
